In our experience, this meditation is equally powerful and important to do on your own or with a partner! This is great news for all you single people out there, don’t let it stop you that you do now have a partner to give you the caressing mediation, and for you to give it to. The most crucial thing about this caressing meditation is to do it every day, 1 minute, or 10 minutes, just tune in fully to your divine physical body and become love, devotion, and admiration for yourself as you give yourself the caressing strokes of the healing touch. Make sure you do not over stimulate the nerves by staying in one place too long, keep a nice and steady flow. While doing it slowly over the entire body, it is easy for 30 or 40 minutes to pass before you know it.
SO SIMPLE, YET TRANSFORMATION IS SO INTENSE
To perform this on your self on an everyday basis, all you need is to sit down knowing you have a few minutes you can spend all to yourself, peacefully and uninterrupted. Even before you rush off to work would be an awesome way to start the day, if you can be calm and present while in the meditation. The touch should be as light as a feather, and your attention will, of course, go to the feelings of the touch itself. Send love through the touch. In a comfortable sitting position, you slowly let your fingers slide along your face, your neck, your hairline, across your chest and shoulders, or over your arms and thighs. We find it ecstatically lovely to caress under the arch of your foot, or inside the palm of your hands, or around the ears. In the beginning you might feel that nothing happens, and you are too stressed out to sink into the touch, just give your self time to relax, this is why it is important to try to make this a part of your daily routine, it teaches your body, or supports and aids your physical self to remember your own sensual nature, your birthright. It is divine, that is a promise, and it takes you into your inner landscape of bliss. Now, isn’t that a great way to reconnect with your self before you leave your house in the morning! You will be bouncing along the street, with an inner smile and feeling of such exquisite juiciness, your light-hearted energy will affect everyone around you with time.
To perform this together with a lover or a friend you can make it more elaborate and special, like treating yourself to the most luxurious spa treatment if you have asked a friend, or with your lover, you prepare as if it was for lovemaking. Light candles, use some exclusive incense, or woody scented essential oils like Frankincense, Sandalwood, or Ylang Ylang is also fantastic. You need to make sure the room is heated to the point that being naked is comfortable. Have a padded mattress on the floor, to lie down on and with enough space for the giver to sit comfortably. Or get out a pillow to sit on. Make it a sacred space of celebration, and put on some divine music. We love Sudha song, and can completely recommend her angelic voice for this.
Plan for 10 minutes of caressing on each side of the body, covering every bit of the body, from head to toe. Start by lying naked on the tummy. The giver demonstrates 3 different caresses to the receiver to choose from, 1 finger, all fingers, or the palm of the hand. After 10 minutes of caressing the backside, the giver will ask the receiver to turn over. As you are giving, if you like, you can occasionally tell the receiver how wonderful you think he or she is, and how much you admire them. Make them feel really special. Then exchange, so that the giver will be the receiver.
One important thing to remember about the loving touch of the caressing is that as this is a meditation, it will disrupt the focus of the receiver if you jump around with your fingers. You should aim at having body contact with the receiver throughout the mediation as otherwise the magic of the meditation is lost. Only one hand on the receiver’s body and make sure you do not bump into their body as you move along the body performing the caressing. Make it pleasant and calm. This is very important! SIT QUIETLY, AND RESPECT THE MEDITATION IN PROCESS, MOVE SLOWLY IF YOU HAVE, AND MOVE AS LITTLE AS POSSIBLE. Also, it is very important to note, that you are not doing reiki or massage, certainly not deep tissue massage! This is a gentle, loving, caressing meditation, hold that as your intention.

Whether you are single or in a relationship, make sure you do the caressing meditation daily. It can even be done as you sit and read a book, chat on the phone, watch your favorite tv show. Just let the fingers stroke your skin, it is magical. Our experience with this is that the power of the caressing mediation holds the capacity to be life-changing. It helps you so much in getting in contact with your sexual energies and orgasmic nature and opens you up to a new transformed you. As you increase your sensitivity to touch, you increase your energetic vibration. Make sure you bring pleasure into your life every day, let pleasure be the portal that expands your heart and mind.
