IT IS ALL ABOUT VIBRATION
You might have heard of tree huggers? Why on earth would people want to hug a tree? Is there any logic behind this? And now also forest baths to attract my twin flame? Let us elaborate, there is a connection, and we want to explore this topic further and also share a few of our own experiences with forest bathing and what it has given us. We have to confess to being forest bathers… And tree huggers… We are also twin flames and we both feel forest bathing is a high vibrational, fun, and relaxing practice that helped us achieve union as twin flames. Therefore, we want to share this simple technique with others out there looking for ways to increase their vibration further in order to attract their twin flame. Because when it comes to attracting your twin, raising your own vibration is everything. It is the most important thing you can do for yourself and your twin, and you will be needing as many tools as possible for achieving your highest possible vibration.
However, this practice is also for everyone and should be enjoyed by all –everyone can receive the benefits of a forest bath. The mission of Tuntrelfe is to spread the healthy lifestyle of Twinflames to everyone — whether you are looking to attract your Twinflame or just looking to improve your health. Even if you don’t believe in Twinflames the healthy practices we espouse at Tuntrelife — raw food, meditation, stress reduction, getting back to nature, Qigong — can help you heal, reach your ultimate potential, change your life. Healthy living is for everyone.
SHINRIN-YOKU. -WHAT IS FOREST BATHING?
Tree huggers and connecting with nature is often seen as silly or unnecessary. This is very unfortunate because it not only has contributed to separating us from our innate bond with nature — something that has caused a plethora of problems — there are also many health benefits that have been scientifically proven in association with nature. Thus, tree-hugging, being around trees, whatever you want to call it is actually very good for your health. And if you think it is silly, actually hugging or touching the tree is not necessary to receive the health benefits. Just get out there and be in nature more often.
In Japan, there is even a word for this and the practice is taken much more seriously. Shinrin-yoku is the Japanese term that translates as “taking in the forest atmosphere” or “forest bathing.” The practice started in Japan during the 1980’s and has been regularly utilized in Japan as a form of preventive health care and healing. Doctors even recommend it. Quite a lot of scientific research has been conducted in Japan and South Korea to confirm the health benefits of forest bathing. Forest bathing might not be what you think — it doesn’t require water or nudity (Oh darn — Hehehe, but by all means, you might want to include this in your practice when you know you can be private…). The only thing you really need to do is visit a natural forested area for a relaxed walk and take time to escape under the protective canopy of outstretched branches above and soak up all the sights, and sounds, and smells of the forest. Notice the subtle language of mother earth, open up to feeling her subtle energies, her healing Chi (Qi or Prana). Forget all the stress and worries of your day and just enjoy the moment. In no time, you will achieve a flow state, where it seems you are floating effortlessly in a comforting worry-free bath. You are also bathing in, breathing them in, absorbing them through your skin. Thus, why it is called forest bathing.
HEALTH BENEFITS FROM FOREST BATHING
The research indicates that a good Ol’ forest bath can increase immune system health, reduce stress, lower blood pressure, increase energy levels, improve focus, accelerate recovery from illness or surgery, and improve sleep. A study done in 2016 found that forest bathing could help reduce depression, fatigue, anxiety, and confusion. The research found that adrenaline and dopamine levels decreased after forest bathing, indicating why a relaxing effect could take place. Additional research has been done using physiological experiments, both in forest settings and in the laboratory, and used to determine scientifically the stress-reducing benefits of forest bathing. Factors such as the wonderful scent of wood, the sound of running streams, and the effects of observing forest scenery were evaluated.
ESTABLISH YOUR OWN FOREST BATHING ROUTINE
A simple relaxing walk is all you need to do to achieve the effects of forest bathing. Practice mindfulness. Let other thoughts from work or family life dissolve. We love to take walks under the canopy of a forest and are lucky that here in Norway we have many places close by for peaceful walks. We have also been actively doing forest bathing as we do Qigong in the forest every morning.
OPEN UP TO THE LOVE FOR THE TREES
We started out wanting to do qigong outside as John had come across an article on how the Japanese even had a word for this. With the love we both have for the trees, of course, we had to try this. And we were at the same time eager to do qigong outside as well under the birch trees. We found a hill nearby, a very special and sacred hill called -The Nuns Forest. On this same location, there has been found remains of a village fortification that predates the Vikings, and could possibly be more than 2000 years old, and even older. Just to let you know that this spot is something extraordinary, and the energies of this land are very charged. In the old days, they knew how to pick the auspicious place, so we followed their example to do the same. We encourage you to seek out a similar special place for your own routine if possible. Every morning we come there we have a routine, first, we greet the huge birch tree there at the entrance, it has a very male and protective energy. We then enter the top where there is an open space perfect for our qigong session. Our friends have joined in too. We have a 30 minutes qigong session followed by a criss-cross brain activation exercise. Next, you will find us tree hugging. Yes! Normally we all gather around the next biggest birch on the hill, which we all feel is the magical healer, it carries a divine feminine energy. At the end, we do the Sufi spin to increase and enhance the kundalini. On our short walk home, we stop to pick those wild edibles hidden between the trees that goes in our breakfast juice. So much heartfelt gratitude for nature, for life.
HEAR THE CALL FROM THE FOREST
At one point, most of us have felt burnt out, and mentally and physically exhausted. Drained to the bone. In John’s experience, forest bathing became the much needed and longed for escape while he was going through a deeply challenging time. He was so mentally burned out and stressed out, he would barely find his way to the forest. But those trees had plans for him and kept calling him in. Every trip made him feel better, and slowly he was on his way to recovery. This is what forest bathing is all about. For Twin Flames, reducing stress and achieving your best possible health is important for raising your energy frequency. We discussed the importance of raising your energy frequency here, please see this article for additional information. Raising your frequency helps with manifesting and attracting your Twin Flame. The higher your daily frequency the better chances you have of finding your Twin Flame. As shown in the links above, Forest bathing has been scientifically proven to help reduce stress, improve immune function, and comes with numerous other health benefits.
FINDING PEACE IS CRUCIAL TO ATTRACT YOUR TWIN FLAME
If you happen to live in an urban environment, the mountains, or the desert, or the tropics maybe, please do not despair. We all do the best out of the situation, this is part of the twin flame journey also. We truly believe in mind over matter, so you might just meditate yourself into this state of flow we described above. Imagine yourself to be in the forest, surround yourself in the green canopy of the trees, and feel the breeze caress your skin as the birds sing you their cheerful song. Or if you have access to a garden, and a turf of green grass, it will have to do. Just let the color green sink in. Let it penetrate the heart chakra with its healing emerald shimmer. Science has shown how we can trick the brain, and we promise you this will be just as powerful. It is about surrender in the end. Surrender, release all expectations of the outcome, just become still. Become a forest bather, become one with the forest, become peace and open the heart door ajar.
